Sanjeev Nanda - India Travel Diary

India is diversity personified. Its vibrant seasons, diverse culture, the majestic Himalayan ranges, desert, high altitude rivers, and exotic destinations; all offer a range of thrilling adventures, trekking options, water sports, skiing, sightseeing options, tourist spots, and a spectacular range of resorts and retreats to relax.

India is blessed with sun-kissed tropical islands lined with coconut and palm trees, sandy beaches fringed with tropical jungles, and arid deserts abound with wildlife. Everywhere you set foot on you will be inundated with bountiful experience of its diversity. From languages to cultures, traditions to heritage set ups; all these aspects reflect its history and evolution.

Ancient cities, Temples and Palaces in India also add to its stunning backdrop that depicts modern intervention and technological advancement. India is indeed exotic and inviting. It lures millions of tourists worldwide and holds a firm place as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the global tourist map.

Heritage Hotels in India will treat you as royalty. You will feel pampered to the hilt, so much so that the thought of returning home will never occur. The royal tradition and hospitality of India is instantly addictive. I stayed at one of the Heritage Villas for a couple of days, and the experience was astounding. The Imperial bliss and treatment, luxurious amenities, exclusive and personalized services; these were unforgettable. Besides this, the sights and aroma of India will evoke fond memories to cherish for a lifetime.

I have extensively traveled through country sides, traversed through local towns and villages, interacted with a diverse lot of people from different backgrounds and communities. I have had the opportunity to explore unmanned territories and venturing into these areas was scary, but thrilling!

Regions close to the Indian Borders are prohibited for the general public and no one is allowed to enter without prior permission. It is good to do your homework before you decide to hop through it and most importantly, get a permit first and a local guide who is thoroughly knowledgeable about the area and its surrounding regions. Hence, I sincerely urge all fellow travelers not to venture into restricted zones on their own.
